Jennifer Priest here with a fabulously retro layout. This layout screams "groovy" to me! I thought it fitting since the page was about my grandma, who loves gold, oranges, and bold florals. I used lots of fabulous Clearsnap Glitter in Honey Glow with Design Adhesives and Smooch Accent Ink to "glam up" diecut acrylic embellishments on this page.
On the flowers, I used Clearsnap's Design Adhesives in "Be Mine" to transfer designs to the acrylic diecuts. I then sprinkled the adhesive design with Clearsnap Glitter in Honey Glow and tapped off the excess. I love how crisp the edges of the Design Adhesives designs are when transferred - these flowers look like a store bought embellishment or a sticker!
On the bird cage, I covered the entire back with a Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Adhesive Sheet and then pressed it into glitter to cover completely. I then lightly painted the edges of the acrylic flowers with Smooch Accent Ink in Gold Lame to help define the acrylic shapes against the busy background paper.
To add an extra layer of 70's "flava" to the page I inked all of the items with ColorBox Fluid Chalk Ink in Creamy Brown, a fabulous beige color that screams "John Denver" in this context.
Grandma is right at home on this page!
