Hello Crafters! Tami here with a project idea I'd like to share...
Did you know that you could stamp and emboss on wood? Have you ever tried it?
Today's project takes a wood disc from plain to pretty. A 3" round disc from Indus Trading Company is the base of the project.
The piece was stamped and embossed, just like you would paper, and then the design was filled in using ColorBox Archival Dye Ink as watercolors.
A touch of Smooch Illuminate provides a little sparkle!

SUPPLIES:
Clearsnap Products:
- ColorBox Archival Dye Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Grasshopper, Tree Frog, Lemon Drop, Pinkolicious, Frosted Plum, Mudslide and Poolside
- Top Boss: Tinted Embossing Pad and Black Embossing Powder
- Smooch Accent Ink: Illuminate
Other Products:

- Indus Trading Company: 3" flat disc
- cording
Tools:
- Heat gun
- craft drill
- beauty swabs
- foam or plastic plate {disposable}
DIRECTIONS:
NOTE: You can paint your disc with crafter's ink or use acrylic paint if desired before you begin to stamp and embellish your project. I liked the look of the wood, so I left mine natural.
- drill hole at top of disc
- lightly sand disc
- ink stamp with tinted embossing powder and stamp on disc
- sprinkle with black embossing powder and emboss
- stamp inks on plate to form a palette
- use dye inks, mixed with a little water and applied with beauty swabs, to fill in design
- when inks have dried, apply Illuminate to large center flower and leaves
- add cording
Stamping and embossing on wood is just as easy as working on paper! I think this technique would work great to make Christmas ornaments to give or keep!
