Today Design Team Members Steph Ackerman and Robyn Weatherspoon are sharing fun and "spooky" cards with you:
"What Should We Be?" Card by Steph Ackerman

The background for this card was created with the new Simple Dots Rollagraph Wheel. I've used it a lot lately in varying colors. In order to quickly clean the ink off the Wheel, I run it several times over white cardstock between each inking. Picking it up recently, I realized what a fun background this would be for a Halloween card.
Clearsnap Supplies:
Archival Ink: Wicked Black and Pumpkin Pie
Embossing Powder: Black
Jumbo Rollagraph: Simple Dots
Adhesive: Glue Gloss
Foam tips: Memory Essentials
Colorbox Dye Ink: Chocolate and Banana
Smooch Ink: Grape
Ephiphany Craft Supplies:
Shape Studio Tool Star
Bubble Caps Star
Other Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Stamp: American Art Stamps
Directions:
Create a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" card from white cardstock creating a top fold. Then ink with Pumpkin Pie.
Cut black cardstock slightly smaller.
Cut orange cardstock 5" x 5", then cut the background piece to fit.
Using a foam tip, lightly ink the edges of the background with Banana and Pumpkin Pie, gently moving the ink into the background.
Stamp image onto white cardstock with Black Ink and emboss with Black Embossing Powder.
Cut the image into a square shape and corner round the edges. Mat with black cardstock.
Using a foam tip, lightly ink the edges with Pumpkin Pie and Banana. Add a little Chocolate Ink to the tree.
Cut a strip of black cardstock 1" x 5" and adhere across the card before adhering the image.
Create stars using the Epiphany Craft Tool and Star Bubbles. Adhere the stars to the card with Glue Gloss.

Directions for Creating this Card:
1. The first thing I did was to "glitterize" the die cut owl by covering the diecut with adhesive and then sprinkling with Clearsnap glitter.
2. The next thing I did was to spray Smooch Spritz on the chipboard leaves for a glistening fall color.
3. Next, I used a Design Adhesive and Designer Foils on the fence die cut.
4. I then cut a circle to represent a spooky moon.
5. I cut the base for the card from black cardstock followed by layering white and then purple cardstock on top of the base. I then sewed around the border of the card with my sewing machine using a zig-zag stitch.
6. I added the moon, the fence, the owl, the leaves and the ribbon, with the pin pushed through the knot of the bow on the card base.
7. I made a custom embellishment using the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio. Then I added this embellishment to the center of my ribbon.
And that is it! Simple and fun to make! Thanks for dropping by and have an amazing day!
Robyn
