Hello Inky Crafters, hostess Tami here again with a project featuring "something old and something new" - and no - the project is not the least bit bridal.
the something NEW! are the ColorBox Limited Edition Chalk Ink Colors! 6 beautiful NEW! colors that have been added to the rainbow of colors of Chalk Inks already available...
The something old is the ColorBox Stylus & Tips, the Moldable Black Tips to be exact. Clearsnap has so many terrific products it's sometimes easy to forget how wonderful some of the "old" products are when all the NEW! goodies are introduced!
The Moldable Black Tips work just like they sound - you heat up the Tip, then press it into any surface to transfer the design: stamps, mesh, rocks, shells, texture plates, paperclips, microbeads, jute, ANYTHING with a texture! There are hundreds of things you can use to impress a design into the Tip; just use your imagination.
For this project, I used the Moldable Black Leaf Tip to make the leaves for my flowers. I just heated up the tip for 5-10 seconds using my heat gun, then pressed the tip into a striped background stamp...
I also used a Moldable Tip to make the centers for my flowers; this time the Small Circle Tip. I pressed it into a polka dot patterned stamp...
Here are a few more closeup pics of the project...
the flowers, made by fringing the edges of a circle "thanks" stamp...
