Hello Inky Crafters, hostess Tami with a card inspired by the colors of sunflowers. I'll also be sharing a few techniques with you.
The card is done in shades of yellow and brown using Mix'd Media Inx...
The card features a double embossed background. First the cardstock was embossed using a Sizzix embossing folder, then Vintage Mix'd Media Inx was applied to the raised portions using a Stylus & Tip. Then the ink was embossed using Top Boss Clear Embossing Powder. This created a super shiny, wallpaper-like background...
The vase stamp was an open image with no design. I wanted the vase to look like it was pottery instead of clear glass. So I stamped and embossed a swirl pattern using Truffle Mix'd Media Inx and Clear Embossing Powder on a piece of yellow cardstock. Then, I stamped and embossed the vase, using the same ink and embossing powder, over the swirl design. The vase was then cut out and Vintage Mix'd Media Inx was applied using the Stylus & Tip to add color and shading...
The flower was stamped and embossed and shaded in a similar manner...
The vase and stem was then stamped and embossed on a yellow cardstock strip and the cut out vase and flower were adhered. The flower and leaf were accented using Smooch Accent Inks...
Finally, the sentiment was stamped and embossed on yellow cardstock, then cut out and adhered to the kraft strip.
