Valentine Sweets - Easy to Resist

Hi - Jean Okimoto here today.  Valentine's Day is less than a month away - thank goodness the extra pounds from the holiday sweets are gone.  Right?

I like to divide holidays into 2 groups - candy holidays and non-candy holidays.  It's time to make some quick cards for the upcoming candy holiday - and Candy Store Design Adhesives make it easy.  A pack of 4 design strips will make 12 unique Valentines with bright backgrounds of Coral, Pinkolicious and Red Devil Archival Dye Inks.

Embossing the designs will allow them to resist the inks - except for a very light tint - while creating colorful backgrounds.

  • Burnish the adhesive patterns onto the glossy white cardstock
  • Heat-emboss the patterns with detail white embossing powder and allow them to cool completely
  • Use paper towels to ink the lollipops with Pinkolicious, Red Devil or Coral
  • Ink the remaining sections of the design with the three colors - and ink a scrap of glossy white cardstock to be punched or diecut into a heart for the greeting
