Super Star DAD!

Hello! Hostess Tami here with one last card to sneak in before Father's Day; bright, colorful and fun, this card lets Dad know he's a STAR! And it's easy enough for the kids to help make it!

Stars were used to stamp the backgrounds for the sentiments; creating "custom printed paper" to tie the elements and colors of the card together...

For a touch of fun to go along with the playful design of the card, the edges of the circle sentiment were fringed and inked...

SUPPLIES:

Clearsnap Products:

• Clearsnap ColorBox Premium Dye Ink: Jalapeno
• Stephanie Barnard ColorBox Premium Dye Ink: Chocolate, Pumpkin, Banana and Cornflower

Other Products:

• The {Stamps} Of Life: All4Dads
• Bazzill: Brown, White, Aqua and Yellow Cardstocks
• Beacon Adhesives: Zip Dry
• 3D Foam Squares

Tools:

• Trimmer and Scissors

DIRECTIONS:

1. Cut a 4 1/4 X 11 piece of brown cardstock and fold in half to make card.
2. Cut a 3 3/4 X 2 3/4 piece of aqua cardstock and adhere in the upper right corner of the card front.
3. Cut a 3 3/4 X 1 3/4 piece of yellow cardstock and adhere in the lower left corner of the card front.
4. Cut a 2 1/2 square of white cardstock; stamp with large solid star inked with Jalapeno Dye Ink, and small solid star inked with Banana.
5. Stamp sentiment using Chocolate Ink on stamped square. Clip corners and ink edges using Chocolate Ink. Adhere at upper left corner of card front.
6. Cut a 1 1/2 X 1 piece of white cardstock; stamp with large outline star inked with Banana Dye Ink, and small solid star inked with Jalapeno.
7. Stamp sentiment using Chocolate Ink on stamped square. Clip corners and ink edges using Chocolate Ink. Adhere at lower right corner of card front.
8. Cut a 1/2 X 4 1/4 strip of white cardstock, stamp solid star along it using Cornflower Dye Ink. Dovetail right end and ink edges using Pumpkin Ink. Adhere between background cardstocks.
9. Stamp circle sentiment using Pumpkin for outer circle, Jalapeno for middle, and Cornflower for center. Cut out about 1/8 around outside circle; fringe edge. Then ink edge using Banana and Pumpkin Inks. Adhere a little towards right at center of card.
10. Stamp large solid star using Banana, then overstamp using outline stamp and Pumpkin Ink. Repeat using Jalapeno for solid and Chocolate for outline stamp, then stamp one large solid star using Pumpkin; cut out. Adhere yellow star at upper right, and layer other 2 stars at bottom left, using 3D foam squares to adhere lime green star.
