Always and Forever

Happy Saturday!  Jean here, sharing another Valentine design.  Glittered Orchard Spray Design Adhesives and a pair of diecut lovebirds against a Rollagraphed background and Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz are great for a guy-card.

The elegant greeting is from the Hampton Art Studio G Love Honor Cherish cling set.  The Cupid Heart Die is from Memory Box  and Nestled Bird Die is from Poppystamps, a division of Memory Box.

A simple change of colors could quickly transform this design into a romantic wedding or anniversary card too.  Here are the directions for this project:
Clearsnap Products
Stamps and Antiquing Ink
  • Hampton Art Studio G Love, Honor, Cherish Cling Set
  • Photogenic ColorBox Graphic 45 Decades Antiquing Inkpad (available to retailers through Hampton Art)
Other Supplies
  • Paper Accents Dusk Cardstock (5" x 7" card)
  • Paper Accents Dark Red Cardstock
  • Memory Box Dove Cardstock
  • Kraft Cardstock
  • Soft Round Paintbrush
  • Acrylic Stamping Block
  • Heat-Tool
  • Memory Box Cupid Heart Die
  • Poppystamps Nestled Bird Die
  • Diecut Machine and Plates
  • Screw Punch
  • Scor-Tape
Directions

  • Place the Dove Cardstock in the Color Catcher
  • Gently shake the Vanilla Shimmer bottle to blend the contents, spritz the cardstock, and allow the ink the dry
  • Snap the Ink Cartridge and Say What? Design Wheel into the Jumbo Inking Handle
  • Remove the cartridge lid and engage the cartridge by pushing the tab towards the wheel
  • Stamp the design on Kraft cardstock and dry the ink
  • Trim it to 5.5" x 1.75" and ink the edges using the Stylus, Tip and Photogenic
  • Burnish  approximately 4.5" of the Orchard Spray Design Adhesive onto Kraft cardstock
  • Brush Charcoal Glitter onto the adhesive pattern
  • Trim the cardstock and ink the edges with Photogenic
  • Attach Scor-Tape to Dark Red Cardstock and diecut two birds (cut a bird from each side of the cardstock to create left- and right-facing birds)
  • Brush Ruby Slippers Glitter onto the adhesive-covered diecuts, then attach the birds to the Orchard Spray patter
  • Diecut the heart from Dark Red Cardstock
  • Stamp the greeting on the heart with Espresso, heat-set the ink, and ink the edges with Photogenic
  • Trim the Smooch-Spritzed cardstock to 4.25" x 3.5" and ink the edges with Photogenic
  • Punch three holes near the bottom right corner and attach Scor-Tape behind the holes
  • Press Ruby Slippers Glitter onto the adhesive through the holes
  • Assemble the card, using foam dots to attach the heart
Hope you like the card...trust me, it's easier than it sounds!
