Defining Life

Hi - Jean here, with a decorative doorhanger as the backdrop of the just-released ColorBox Limited Edition Pigment Inks. The five colors featured here are Raisin, Berry, Blue Jean, Wheatgrass and Zen Garden.

These versatile colors are perfect for stamping - just dry and heat-set the inks with a heat-tool or iron.  They're also great for embossing and blending on a wide range of crafting surfaces.

  • Memory Box Renaissance Tile

  • Kraft Cardstock
  • Heat-Tool
  • Scor-Tape
  • 1/2" Circle Punch
  • Corner Rounder Punch
  • Memory Box Darla and Moonlight Butterfly Dies
  • Diecut Machine and Plates
  • Detail Clear Embossing Powder
  • Fuchsia Tulle

Directions
  • Using the Stylus and 4 Tips - lightly ink the doorhanger with Berry, Raisin, Blue Jean and Wheatgrass
  • Using papertowel - gently blend the inks
  • Heat-set the inks
  • Snap the Ink Cartridge and Design Wheel into the Inking Handle and stamp the Define It pattern onto Kraft cardstock
  • Heat the ink to dry it
  • Add a light, randomly-placed layer of Wheatgrass to create a softly aged look,
  • Trim the cardstock to 5-1/8" x 1-7/8" and round the corners with the punch
  • Ink the edges using the Stylus, Tip and Berry
  • Diecut the butterflies from scrap cardstock and stencil Zen Garden, Raisin and a light layer of Blue Jean over the words using the Stylus, Tips and "negative" diecut frames 
  • Emboss the stenciled butterflies with Opalescent Clear Powder
  • Stamp Renaissance Tile onto the doorhanger with Blue Jean and emboss it with detail clear powder
  • Attach Scor-Tape to scrap cardstock and press Sparkling Amethyst Glitter onto the adhesive
  • Punch five 1/2" circles of the glittered cardstock
  • Attach the pieces to the doorhanger
  • Tie the tulle, cord and velvet ribbons onto the doorhanger
If you need a few more Valentine cards - use little punched hearts instead of the circles.
