Happy Leap Year!
Do you wish people happy leap year? It seems like you should since it's an extra special day, one that doesn't come around every year :)
Leap Year gives you an extra day; that's a WHOLE 24 hours! What are you going to do with YOUR 24 hours? How about making a card or two?
I've got a fun little card to share, one you can send off to a friend just to say hello...
The bright colors and bird designs make me think ahead to Spring; which is just around the corner. After all, tomorrow is the first day of March!

- Bazzill Basics: White and Black Cardstocks
- Beacon Adhesives: Zip Dry
- The Twinery: Pink Sorbet Baker's Twine
- White Gel Pen
- Trimmer, Heat Gun and 3/4 circle punch
- Ink body of bird stamp using Tangerine Ink and beak and legs using Licorice, using Stylus & Tips to apply both inks. Stamp on white cardstock and trim to 2 X 2 1/4.
- Repeat step {1} using Guava and Blueberry Inks for body.
- Cut a 5 1/4 X 10 piece of black cardstock and fold in half to make card. Use zig zag blade of Freestyle Trimmer trim left edge so width of card measures 5".
- Adhere stamped bird pieces to card front as shown.
- Spell "chirp" using alpha set and ink using Jasmine Mix'd Media Inx; stamp twice in lower right corner and emboss using Jasmine Mix'd Media Inx Embossing Powder.
- Cut 3 - 6" pieces of baker's twine and punch 2 circles from black cardstock. Use circles to secure ends of baker's twine to back and lower inside of card. Tie a bow with another piece of twine at center.
- Use gel pen to add dots to each "scallop" of left card edge.
