Charlotte here, I am sharing with you how to create " A Distressed Flower", using ColorBox Dye and Pigment Ink and Smooch Spritz. I used the flower on a Vintage Keepsake Box project that I made for a special friend.

Instructions
Punch or use an electronic cutter
Cut eight large petals
Cut one large daily flower shape
2-3 small sun shapes for stamen
2-3 three starburst shapes
  • Punch or cut out eight big flower petals.
  • Gently shake the Gold Glow and Candle Glow Smooch Spritz to make sure the mica is mixed completely with the ink. Holding your Smooch Spritz just a few inches from the paper petal, spray and coat the paper with a layer of Smooch.  Let the petals dry before moving to the next step.
  • Using a pair of deckle scissors to add details to the sides of the petals.  Place the petals ink side down on the rubber mat and use the round end of the rub-on tool or ball stylus to shape each petals. Turn the petal over, ink side up and and repeat the shaping process with the molding tool. (The petals should look wrinkled and distressed)
  • Dip the end of the petals into glue, then place the petals on the base flower. Repeat this process with each of the eight petals.
  • To make the flower's center, rub the ColorBox Mix'd Media Leather Inx pad over the starburst shape. Next, distress the ends of the starbust shape the ColorBox Archival Dye Wicked Black ink pad.  Use scissors to cut the starburst arms in half.
  • Place the small and medium starburst shape on the art gum eraser and cup each starburst.  Use a toothpick to apply a small amount of gun to each starburst. Glue the pieces to the center of the flower.
  • Place the small sun shape on an art gum eraser and shape the small sun. Hold the sun with tweeers, then use a toothpick to apply a small amount of glue to the bottom of the sun shape. Glue the small sun shape in the center of the flower.
  • Shape the flower until satified with the flower's shape.
  • Add a rhinestone, brad or small rose to the flower's center for a finished look.
  • Ahere the finished flower to your project.
