Clearsnap: Blinged to a "T"!

Hello! Hostess Tami here with a super quick decor idea for you.

Typography continues to be a HOT trend in home decor. Spelling out words, names, gathering a collection of initials, mixing and matching fonts and materials, are all great ways to create a focal point in any room.

I've been working on decorating my studio and have begun gathering initials to group together on a shelf. The letters I'm looking for can be vintage or new, chic or shabby chic, metal or paper mache', but one thing they can't be is BORING!

And "boring" is a good description for this plain white wood "T" I found at a craft store...

But, in just a few minutes, you can take a simple letter like this and give it a whole new look! All you need is just a few products from Clearsnap! I bLiNgeD up my letter in only 15 minutes!

I chose Design Adhesives to embellish my letter with as they work on a variety of surfaces - porous and non-porous - and you can use glitters, embossing powders and or Designer Foils with them. Design Adhesives are easy to work with too, you can cut them to fit the shape and size you need. First, lightly rub along the top of the Design Adhesive to make it release from the backing easier, then just peel off the backing and apply to your surface. You can see I cut pieces to fit the arms of the "t"...

Then, peel off the plastic and you are ready to add you choice of bLiNg! I wanted some shimmer, so I mixed a little bit of glitter in with the embossing powder. Here's what the letter looked like after I heat set the embossing powder...

As a finishing touch, I added a flower that I had given a little mini makeover too. First, I "smooched" it using Smooch Spritz, then I applied a dusting of Fairy Dust Glitter. I applied and sealed the glitter using Beacon's Decoupage Gloss Sealer. Decoupage Gloss Sealer is a quick drying spray that is perfect to use to apply glitters and to seal and protect your projects.
