You're going to need:
Crayola self hardening clay
Mixd Media Inks in: Schoolhouse
Smooch Glitz in: Firecracker
The first step, is to shape your clay into bead shapes.
After that, I use an embroidery needle to make a hole where the string or pins will go.
They don't have to look perfect. In fact, they look better if they are not perfect looking.
Self hardening clay is great to work with, so just form your beads, make the holes and let them dry. Once they are dry, you can apply the Mix'd Media inks with a paintbrush (or just use your hands, and get them all nice and dirty).
I love the Mix'd media inks because they dry on the clay fairy quickly. They go on like watercolors, but cover like acrylics, and dry much faster.
The more coats of ink you add, the darker the hue.
After that, use some Smooch Glitz, to give it shine and glitz. The more the better, I say.
Once you're done, you end up with something like this:
Pretty, right?

Have an artsy day!
