We're so excited to be working with our friends from myStampBox this weekend! Our teams swapped stamps and ink and will sharing some fun ways to use our product together now through Sunday. Today, Creative Team Member Megan Aaron shares a cute "bird-day" card:
For this card, I stamped the bird image from My Stamp box with Black chalk ink, then created a mask around the image and added an embossed grid design that doesn't go over the birds. The mask was just a rough oval shape, to create the halo, not an exact mask of the stamp. After embossing the grid, I used the Clearsnap Stylus set to blend various colors of chalk and pigment ink (including tangerine, orange and terra cotta) into a halo around the birds. The birds were then colored with prismacolor markers. Finally, I stamped the sentiment in stephanie barnard cornflower blue.
We've also got goodies to share! Just use the rafflecopter widget below to enter to win a Clearsnap prize pack of 5 ColorBox Cat's Eye Premium Dye Ink Pads, a Smooch Accent Ink, Design Adhesives, and glitter! Thanks for joining us today :)

ReplyDeleteI love Road Trip and Christmas Garlands, would love to own them!
ReplyDeleteCute, cute card - love that you created the halo. I must remember this! One of my favorite MyStampBox sets is still Neighborhood. Just no other set like it.
ReplyDeleteBird-day is one of my favourite sets for sure and you really did it justice!!
ReplyDeleteLove the In the Neighborhood Stamp. This is a darling card and I love how the masking makes the background so cool! Great job
ReplyDeletethose birds are so cute but the background is perfect.
ReplyDeleteI like the Decorative Strips. Love adding borders to my pages.
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite myStampBox stamps are in the Programmed Robots set. I'm kind of a sucker for robots. But I also really like the criss-cross lines of the background-ish Back to the Basics, which I must admit is a more generally useful set.
ReplyDelete--belldoubleyou
I've got a couple of favourite myStampBOX sets: Itty Bitty's, Repeat After Me, Border Lines, Lovely Houses...
