Stamping on Wood with ColorBox Crafter's Ink

Hi - Hope you enjoyed the holiday, family, friends, shopping and pumpkin pie - not necessarily in that order!  Jean Okimoto here, sharing a holiday project featuring the just-released full-sized ColorBox Crafter's Inkpads.

The 12 beautiful colors are perfect for stamping, stenciling and printing on wood, fabric shrink plastic, paper, clay - and many other surfaces.  Heat-set them with a dry iron or a heat-tool (always test the surface first) for permanence.

They'd be great for holiday tree skirts, table runners, gift bags, handstitched ornaments - or garlands and banners draped over the mantle or across a window.  I've chosen a simple project - stamped wood tags - to share today.

Here are the twelve colors - seven of them are stacked handily in the ColorBox Color Carrier.  It's the perfect tote for ColorBox inkpads!

The stamps are from Hampton Art - and the ColorBox Crafter's Inkpads featured are Fire, Aruba, Bark and Jungle.  The pads are very moist and great for porous surfaces.  Just stamp the images and the wood veneer pieces and carefully - and gently - heat-set them.

If the tags split when you punch the holes for the ribbons and cords - punch two cardstock reinforcements to attach over the holes.  Add the matching ties - and that's it!
