Spots, Dots & Bubbles to Welcome 2013

Hi - Jean Okimoto here - with a quick blending technique featuring the vibrant colors of the Stephanie Barnard Premium Dye Inkpads.  They're the perfect ink for background blending and resist techniques because they're bright, blend quickly and dry in less than a minute.

  • Twinkling Turquoise Glitter (*Page 55)
Other Supplies
  • Paper Accents Dusk Cardstock (7-7/8" x 3-5/8" card)
  • Paper Accents Whirlpool Cardstock (2-1/4" x 7-1/4" accent strip)
  • Natural Cardstock
  • Bazzill Basics Foxglove Cardstock
  • Detail Clear Embossing Powder
  • Memory Box Loopy Rings Die
  • Memory Box Metal Adapter Plate (for detailed dies)
  • Diecut Machine and Plates
  • Corner Rounder Punch
  • Scor-Tape
  • 1/2" Circle Punches
  • Impress Mini-Calendar
Directions
  • Burnish Spots and Dots onto natural cardstock and emboss it with detail clear powder
  • Using the Stylus and blending tips, ink the embossed pattern with Grape, Mustard, Cornflower and Banana
  • Trim the cardstock and round the corners
  • Ink the edges lightly with Licorice
  • Round the corners of the Whirlpool strip
  • Diecut Loopy Rings from Foxglove Cardstock - save the circles  - you'll use them to help attach the rings to the background
  • Attach Scor-Tape to a scrap of Foxglove Cardstock and brush Twinkling Turquoise Glitter onto the adhesive
  • Punch three 1/2" circles of the glittered cardstock
  • Assemble the card - glue the solid circles over the rings as shown to attach the diecut to the background
  • Tuck the mini-calendar under the diecut
