An Altered Jewelry Box

The one thing that I love is being able to make my own jewelry. That being said, I have a lot of jewelry. Of course.
Hi I'm Diana and I'm getting crafty today with Clearsnap!
As a child, I would remember my mother having many jewelry boxes filled with her favorite pieces of jewelry. Where my mother and I differ, is that she loves real gemstones, gold and silver, whereas I am happy with it being handmade.
I altered a jewelry box, using Clearsnap's mixed media inks.
Check it out:

This box is so easy peasy to make, and so fun.
I used:

Countdown calender by Karen Foster Design.
Mix'd Media Inks by Clearsnap in the colors:
Vintage
Patina
Berries
Schoolhouse

And some ribbon for the sides.
Oh, and some strong glue. You can use E-6000 or a glue gun.

So, each drawer is inked with two combinations of colors:
Vintage + Patina
and
Berries + Schoolhouse

After that, embossing powder is added, and the heated with a heat gun.

Glue some ribbon around the edges, and voila! You've got yourself a cool looking jewelry box with little drawers.
Oh, and I had a little jewel that I glued in the center box.
I know this was meant to be a Christmas Advent Calender, but I already have one, and I can really see my handmade earrings in this thing!

I hope you like my project today!
Happy Crafting!

Diana
