My Vintage Valentines

Hello! Sabrina here to share with a trick for you to use in both your sewing and paper projects. So who besides me is a button hoarder collector? I pick up packages of random buttons all the time and some are exciting ones (the shaped, the textured, the patterned), while others are just plain and flat. Don't let those boring buttons sink to the bottom of the jar - think of them instead as miniature blank canvases, just waiting for a stamp and a little pigment ink!

Stamping on buttons is no different than stamping on paper - it just requires a setting element to keep the ink in place. A coat of clear embossing powder does the trick. I used two of the six newly released Limited Edition Pigment Ink colors - Cupid and Turtle.

These buttons ended up on some sweet valentine's dresses for my daughters. If your going to take to time to make a dress by hand, why not make it extra special with one of a kind buttons! Or you could replace the buttons on an existing piece of clothing. And if you don't sew, they would look just as good on paper.

Thanks so much for joining me today!
