Hello, hostess Tami here today to share a card with a vintage floral design.
I decided to use the image upside down because I liked how the flowers "fell" from the top left of the card...
I started by stamping the flower design in Seattle Sky ColorBox Archival Dye Ink on watercolor paper. Then I mixed drops of ink from ColorBox Archival Dye Ink Refill Bottles with a bit of water to make "watercolors" to fill in the design with. After the flowers were dry, I gave the stamped page a light spritz of Spun Sugar Smooch Spritz to antique it.
Here's a closeup of the flowers, note the bit of shimmer they got from the Smooch Spritz...
The kraft card base was stamped with a script stamp and Seattle Sky Ink. The floral piece was torn a bit at the sides along the upper left and lower right corners, and wrapped with a thin twine that was tied in a bow at the front. The floral piece was then adhered at an angle on the card base. The sentiment " I miss you" was stamped with ColorBox Charcoal Chalk Ink on a scrap of kraft, cut out and adhered toward the lower left of the card.
If you don't have any of the ColorBox Archival Ink Refill Bottles, but DO have the inkpads, you can tap the color onto a foam or plastic disposable plate, then add drops of water. I like to use beauty swabs, which have pointed ends, to "paint" with.
