Happy Accident!

Hey everyone!  Suzanne here to share with you a layout that was built upon what I'll call a "happy accident."
I started another layout with a varied line of straight stitching.  I had the "bright" idea to saturate said line with ColorBox Stephanie Barnard Premium Dye Ink Sprays to create some visual interest.  Well that idea turned out to be quite the train wreck, but when I lifted the paper, I found a very cool inky pattern on the Bazzill cardstock below!  (I REALLY saturated the stitching!)

While the stitched paper was still wet, I simply "stamped" the design a few times to create the inky base for the layout.  I used "Guava," "Strawberry," and "Bubblegum" in Stephanie Barnard Premium Dye Ink Sprays to create the varied color pattern.

The Premium Dye Ink Sprays add such an amazing pop of color! The scattering of butterflies are Clearsnap Design Adhesives in "Butterfly Swirl."  They are embossed with ColorBox Donna Salazar's Mix'd Media Inx Embossing Powder in "Black."  The stars-cheap confetti that I literally sprinkled on and adhered where they landed.

All stamping is in Colorbox Archival Dye Ink in "Wicked."  Will I do this technique again?  You betcha! Thanks for stopping by!
