Hello,
hostess Tami here with not one, but TWO Easter projects for you today!
First up is a card featuring an adorable little bonneted chick stamp and a pretty vintage style frame stamp, both from Stampendous ...
To color in the cute little chick, which was stamped and embossed first using to make that easier, ColorBox Archival Dye Inks were used as watercolors to fill in the body. Smooch Accent Inks were used to color in the rest of the design...
I wanted the bonnet to really stand out from the rest of the design, and the pearly shimmer from the Smooch Accent Inks helped achieve that...
The frame was stamped and embossed on lime cardstock to set off the pretty pastel colors of the chick...
The pale pink accent paper brings out the pink flowers in the bonnet, and a thin mat of black cardstock makes it "pop" against the aqua card. Tiny alpha stickers were used to add the sentiment.
Next, is a treat container featuring Clearsnap's Altered Basics Clear Box and Stephanie Barnard ColorBox Premium Dye Inks and stamps from The {Stamps} of Life...

The "sky" background for the label was made by inking a large acrylic block with Sky Dye Ink and stamping on white cardstock. The ink pools in areas and pulls away from others of the block, so when you stamp, you get a nice sky effect!
Then for the chick... I used the solid egg stamp and Banana Dye Ink and stamped on white cardstock, then inked the chick and eyes stamp with Licorice and stamped over the yellow egg. The tiny beak was stamped in Tangerine. The wings were overstamped using the solid wing pieces and Banana Ink. The legs were done in Tangerine on the background...
To get multi colors on the eggs, they were all first stamped with a base color using the solid egg stamp, then overstamped using the design eggs. For the striped egg, 3 colors of ink were used on the design egg stamp; a Stylus & Tip was used to get the ink in just the right places, working from the top down, and wiping off any stray ink before applying the next color...
The grass was stamped at the bottom of the sky background piece, then the cut out eggs were added. Another stamping of grass across the eggs makes them look like they are resting in the grass.
The sentiment was stamped at the top with a handwritten addition below it.
To put everything together, the Clear Box was first filled about 2/3 full of Easter grass, then the jelly beans were added. The label was adhered over where the 2 meet. Double sided tape can be used to secure the closures. Coordinating ribbons tied at the top finish it off.
Here are the supplies you'll need for both projects...
