Hello, hostess Tami here today with a baby boy shower invitation to show you.
No pale pastels here though; I selected some bright colors - from the Stephanie Barnard ColorBox Premium Dye Inks - to play against a krafty background...
All the stars were first stamped with a color, then outline stamps were used to add the brown borders. Don't worry if your outlines don't land EXACTLY over the edges of your stars - {perfection is overrated} - you'll actually get a 3D effect if the borders are a little off!
The bold, colorful stars really "shine", even on the darker background, thanks to the coverage and intensity of the ColorBox Premium Dye Inks...
The card front was stamped all over using the trio of tiny stars and a tiny star stamp. The invitation portions were stamped on kraft cardstock, cut out, distressed, then adhered. An outline with a white gel pen make them POP. The cut out stars were arranged around the card front, making sure not to obscure any info.

Invitation Hints:
- To avoid wasting materials, always stamp and cut out the details portion. That way, if you accidentally mess up on either the stamping or the printing, you don't have to toss an entire card.
- Work assembly line style: stamp one design, one color at a time, and stamp all the pieces you'll need. Then cut out everything so you'll be ready to quickly assemble your cards.
- Use the inside for more details: directions, gift registries, etc.
- Make your cards a standard size so you can find envelopes easily.
- Double check postage costs with the Post Office; odd shapes, odd sizes and thick cards - due to buttons, pop dots, ribbon, etc. - can double the regular rate.
