Directions
- Cut a 12 X 12 piece of Bazzil Basics White Cardstock down to 11"X11".
- Cut a piece of Bazzil Basics White Cardstock down to 5"X11'
- Using the Jumbo Rollagraph Butterfly Garden Design Wheel, roll the wheel horizontally over the entire piece of paper.
- Tap the Stylus Tips blending tool on the Colorbox Guava Stephanie Barnard Dye Ink Pad to pick up a small amount of ink. Now using the Stylus Tips blending tool, blend the Dye ink into the Butterfly Garden Design Wheel stamped paper.
- Aggressively run a paper distressing tool over the edges of the 5X11 page. Once the edges have been distressed with the tool, ink the edges with Colorbox Blackbird Fluid Chalk Ink Pad.
- Adhere to the top of the 12X12 piece of background card stock.
- Cut a 5X11 piece of coordinating pink patterned paper. Adhere the paper onto the white 12X12 cardstock. Adhere the paper directly under the Butterfly Garden Design stamped paper. Line up the edges evenly.
- Using two pieces of scrap cardstock, lay the first piece of cardstock along the edge of the pink coordinating paper. Tape the cardstock to the work surface. Place the second piece of paper directly below the first piece of cardstock, leaving a 1/2" space between the two pieces of cardstock. This will create a mask.
- Tap the Stylus Tips blending tool on the Colorbox Black Mix'd Media Inx Pad to pick up a small amount of ink. Using the Stylus Tips blending tool, mask the ink into the 1/2" space.
- Repeat this process several time on the remaining lower half of 12X12 card stock. Create a variety of width masks\stripes on the lower half of the card stock.
- Ink a small sentiment stamp with ColorBox Stephanie Barnard Guava Dye Ink. Stamp the sentiment across one of the lower white masked stripes.
- Ink a border stamp with ColorBox Stephanie Barnard Guava Dye Ink. Stamp the image three times on a piece of white scrap cardstock. Cut out the three stamped images with scissors and adhere the three strips on the bottom of the pink patterned paper. Make sure to over lap the edges of each cutout image.
- Adhere a piece of black ribbon over the joint of the pink patterned paper and stamped Butterfly Garden paper.
- Adhere a coordinating ribbon 1/4" from the bottom of the cardstock. For this piece of ribbon, the ribbon was altered using the Colorbox Stephanie Barnard Guava Dye Ink.
- Cut a piece of white cardstock down to 6X8". Using the Jumbo WordsWords Design Wheel, roll the wheel, horizontally over the entire piece of paper.
- Aggressively run a paper distressing tool over the edges of the 6X8" page. Once the edges have been distressed with the tool, ink the edges with Colorbox Blackbird Fluid Chalk Ink Pad.
- Tape the 6X6 Crafters Workshop Swirly Vines stencil down over the left upper corner of the 6X8" piece of cardstock. Using the ColorBox Stylus Circle Tip, place ColorBox Wicked Black Dye Ink on the paper's surface. Apply the ink using a gentle pounding motion, holding the Stylus straight up and down. Do not use a stroking motion. This motion will keep the ink from seeping under the edges of the stencil. If your stencil seems to be lifting as you ink, use an awl or chopstick to hold the stencil. Repeat this process again on the right side of the cardstock.
- Place a a black matte on two photos and adhere to the 6X8 " WordsWords stamped card stock. Offset the matted photos on the page.
- Add a title at the right lower corner of the 6X8 stamped cardstock.
- Aggressively run a paper distressing tool over the edges of the 6X8" page. Once the edges have been distressed with the tool, ink the edges with Colorbox Blackbird Fluid Chalk Ink Pad.
- Add two brads to the upper right hand corner of 6X8 WordsWords stamped card stock.
- Matte the 6X8 WordsWords stamped card stock with black card stock. Adhere to the 11X11" piece of designed card-stock using 3-D Zot Dots.
- Ink a flower stamp with ColorBox Black Mix'd Media Ink. Sprinkle with Top Boss Black Embossing Powder and emboss the powder with a heating tool. Attach the Cat's Eye Peony Pad to the Cat's Eye Adapter Handle. Blend the Cat's Eye Peony ink over the entire flower. Make sure you blend the embossed area with more pressure to apply more ink around the heat embossed area. This will create a stark contrast between the embossed areas, which will resist the Pigment Ink. When cool, cut out the flower with scissors and adhere to the page with a 3-D Zot-Dot. Repeat this process four more times.
- Bent three 3 inch pieces of 20 gauge wire into a spiral shape at one end of the wire. Adhere the non-spiral end of the wire into the page under the flowers.
- Add a Purple Cow Pin to the center of the page. Adhere a butterfly to the lower left hand corner of the page.
- Aggressively run a paper distressing tool over the edges of the 11X11" page. Once the edges have been distressed with the tool, ink the edges with Colorbox Cat's Eye Peony Ink Pad. Adhere the entire 11X11 design to a piece of 12X12 black card stock.
