It's a Summer Romance

Hi - Jean Okimoto here with another inky card idea.  Summers are for engagements, weddings and anniversaries - celebrate them with a watercolor resist card in bright pastels.
Spritz 140# cold-pressed watercolor paper lightly with water.  Ink a soft rubber with  the ColorBox Tropical Multi-color Inkpad.  Spray the inked brayer with three or four spritzes of water, then roll the diluted inks onto the watercolor paper.  Heat-set the inks with a dry iron on the cotton setting.
Stamp Windowpane Monarch and Fabulous - from Hampton Art - with Watermark Twinkle Pearl.  Emboss the images with detail clear powder.

Use pieces of papertowel to vigorously ink the stamped images with Grape Slushy, Tree Frog and Pinkolicious ColorBox Archival Dye Inks.  The rich, bright inks will color the unstamped areas - and tint the pearly embossed images.  Buff any residual inks off with a clean papertowel.  Apply a light layer of Golf Course Archival Dye Ink with papertowel to highlight the colors.  Trim the watercolor paper.

Cut a pink cardstock heart with the Memory Box Grand Heart Die.  Punch two rows of four tiny holes and stitch three "x's" using six strands of gold thread.  Securely tape the thread ends to the back of the heart.

Cut, score and fold a 5.5" square card of natural cardstock.  Assemble the card, using foam dots to attach the greeting.
