Cool off with this Embossed Water Effect
I love it when a take a picture and the second I look at it it inspires me. That's what happened this July 4th when I snapped a pic of my nephew Evan in his swimming pool. I just love that little ducky face of his. I wanted to create something that was light and colorful. I really wanted to make a water effect and immediately thought of my inkjet transparency. I started by stamping on it, but then to give it texture I thought; emboss! My first concern was that I would melt the transparency- but it stood up! My next challenge was how would I get the layering and depth without using 3D adhesives that might show through? No problem, just used a little glue and some seashells. Here are some pics and I made a quick little technique video showing how I did it. Hope it inspires you to create a watery summer project!
