Happy Birthday Mom!

Hello! Hostess Tami here with a card to show you; one I made for my mother for her birthday this week...

I wanted it to be special, just like Mom, so I added lots of little touches.

I started with cardstocks from Bo Bunny's Double Dot collection; they have great "distressed" patterns. I added a stenciled design to the blue cardstock piece to add another layer of texture using a template from Crafter's Workshop and ColorBox Fluid Chalk Ink applied with Stylus & Tip. Since the template had small intricate designs, I tapped rather than rubbed to apply the ink.

Then for the ivory piece I used a Spellbinder's Diecut to add a pretty border and embossed design. I also diecut the right edge of the blue cardstock to match. I lightly rubbed the Chalk Ink over the embossed design to make it stand out.

The bouquet was made from several different flowers in colors of pink, white and cream. To make them all coordinate, they were lightly sprayed with Smooch Spritz, as was the ribbon that holds them together.

The sentiment was stamped using stamps from Stampendous and ColorBox Stephanie Barnard Premium Dye Ink on a cardstock piece that had been diecut and embossed.

All pieces were lightly distressed using Chalk Ink, and for a little shimmer, Illuminate Smooch Accent Ink was dabbed on the flower petals and embossed pattern on the ivory border.

So just like Mom, it's all the little things that make this card special.
