Hi everyone, Denise Hahn here. I love experimenting with new products so when we got the new Stephanie Barnard Sprays I started spraying everything! I decided to try them on some of my Graphic 45 Matchbook Cardboard boxes. At first I didn't like the splattered look, so I tried to wipe it off. But instead of wiping off, it was smearing beautifully over the cardboard. So I kept going and was so impressed with the look it became my favorite way to use these inks. So I made a little demo on how to use them to cover cardboard and it works just the same on paper mache too. The end result is my little door hanger Halloween Decoration. Hope you will give it a try on your next altered project.
I got this German Porcelain Doll Head as a gift- but it's sorta spooky- so why not for Halloween?
I edged it ever so slightly with some Copper Pigment Ink around the edge. I also used to copper on the Imaginarium Designs Chipboard piece (leafy swirl under the words)
I dipped the fan in Clearsnaps Glitter in Sweet Orange and embellished it with a Graphic 45 Chipboard circle and a vintage rhinestone
a Graphic 45 Metal Staple key
Always a little Cats Eye in Blackbird to highlight the words
I love the Tangerine Spray in the back, the rich color just makes it glow (with the help of a battery operated tealight)
It looks especially cool at night!
Hope you enjoyed my little altered project for Halloween- If you can't get your hands on the new Graphic 45 Matchbox you can always use a paper mache box found at your local craft store and cut out your own window-
Happy Haunting!
