Junque Journal & Junk Backgrounds with Xyron

We're creating with our friends from Xyron all this week! We're so excited to share some inspiring projects and tips and tricks for using Xyron adhesive products with Clearsnap's ink, glitter, and more!

After checking out all our projects here, head on over to the Xyron blog for more crafty inspiration!

Today, Suzanne Austin shares a layout created with Xyron's Sticker Maker and Glue Stick:

Designer's Note: The stenciled background was achieved by spraying an alphabet template with Stephanie Barnard's Premium Dye Ink Spray in "Licorice." I flipped the inked stencil over onto a clean sheet of cardstock and used the reverse image of the template. Behind the photo, I stamped a piece of watercolor paper with gesso, dried, and sprayed with Smooch Spritz in the beautiful color "Splash." I finished the page off with a sprinkling of bling from Want2Scrap, another stamped layer in Fluid Chalk Ink "Pumpkin Spice," and a "toned-down" doily spritzed with Smooch Spritz in "Gingerale!"

And, Diana Gonzalez shares how to use the Xyron Glue Stick to create a junque journal from found papers:

Designer's Note: Here is a hand bound junque journal that I created, using a traditional coptic stitch binding. The pages are created by gluing pieces of paper together to measure 8.5"x11", with the Xyron Glue Stick.

Materials used:
  • Smooch Accent Ink
  • Xyron 2.5" Sticker Maker
  • Xyron Glue Stick
  • Pages from a vintage school music book, collage papers, and miscellaneous scrapbook papers
  • Baking twine

  7. I like knowing that the Xyron adhesives won't let me down after I've put so much work into putting together my projects. The elements (thin like paper or bulky like buttons) will stay put for years!
