Be Scary, Be Messy...It's OK, It's Halloween!

Halloween means it's OK to let your designs get a little messy.  Drippy spritz marks, splotchy inkspots and scorched embossing are allowed this time of year! 

Hi - Jean Okimoto here - sharing a Halloween card that's a bit messy, and very inky.

  • Color Catcher Spritz Box (*Page 51)

Other Supplies
  • Black Cardstock (4-5/8" x 6-1/4" card)
  • Kraft Cardstock
  • Bazzill Apricot Cardstock
  • The Crafter's Workshop 6"  templates - Circle Grid, Chevron, Birds
  • Detail Clear Embossing Powder
  • Heat-Tool
  • 1-3/4" Circle Punch or Die/Diecut Machine and Plates
  • Screwpunch
  • Brass Mini-brads
  • Foam Dots
Directions
  • Place the Kraft cardstock in the Color Catcher and lightly spritz it with Banana, Tangerine and Licorice
  • Dry the inks
  • Using the Stylus and White Blending Tips - stencil the template patterns onto the background - Licorice ink and Birds, Tangerine ink and Circle Grid, Grape ink and Chevron
  • Dry the inks then trim the design into three strips - ink the edges with Licorice
  • Punch three holes on the center strip and attach brass brads
  • Attach the pieces to the card
  • Stamp OCT. 31st on the smoother side of Apricot Cardstock with Black and emboss it with detail black powder
  • Punch or diecut it into a 1-3/4" circle and ink the edges with Licorice
  • Attach it to the card with foam dots
