Ever need a quick card - but wonder whether it'll be faster to make one - or drive to the nearest market or drugstore, park, then stand in line to pay for it? Jean Okimoto here - with a pair of any-occasion cards that'll help answer that question.
ColorBox Archival Dye Inkpads - in vivid, quick-drying colors - are perfect for that situation. I love
stamping on glossy white cardstock with them for crisp, bright images. They're great for bold, solid stamps - and for delicate, detailed designs too. You can layer them, mask them and stencil over them and have an original card in just a few minutes.
Stamp Impress Rubber Stamp's Dotted Flourish on glossy white cardstock with Golf Course and let it dry for a minute. Stamp Savvy Stamp's Brush Flower Head over the flourish with Coral and Very Berry (shown here). Let the inks dry for a minute.
In the meantime, cut a scalloped circle from printer paper using the Sizzix Circles, Scallop Die Set. Place the diecut over the flower head (yes, it's purposely smaller). Stamp the Impress Dotted Swirl Background over it with Tree Frog to create a cool background that looks like it was masked with an intricately-handcut mask - instead of a diecut in just a few seconds.
Let the background dry for a few seconds - while you punch a 3/4" circle from printer paper. Use that circle and the Stylus and Tip to stencil Squash over the center of the flowers. Trim the cardstock. Cut, score and side-fold A-2 cards from Sour Apple and Apricot Cardstock. Attach gold mini-brads to a strip of Hillary Cardstock. Assemble the cards - that's it - easier than it sounds!
