Creating with Viva Las Vegas Stamps! DAY FOUR

Today we are hopping with our friends over at Viva Las Vegas Stamps. Colorful ink + colorful, hip stamps = inspiration!!!!!!!!!!!! We're so excited to be hopping with the VLV team and using their incredible line of eclectic and versatile stamps paired with our distinctive inkpads and accessories!

Check out the Viva Las Vegas Stamps blog today for two unique, innovative projects!

Hi inky friends! Sabrina here to share a piece of framed art I created to add a little magic in our girls' bedroom using Plate 918 from Viva Las Vegas Stamps and of course, lots of Colorbox Pigment Inks. This stamp set definitely has a sweet and youthful feel to it and I loved customizing it with just the right ink colors to fit in with their bedroom theme, "Fancy" (which btw is anything colorful, sparkly, frilly, girly and layered.)

I started by stamping and embossing the unicorn, wings and sentiment onto some heavy duty manila cardstock from GCD Studios using Mix'd Media Inx in Denim and Pewter with the coordinating embossing powder. The next step was to blend a few colors of Pigment Ink together over the stamped image and cut out.

The background was stamped with more pigment ink. Don't completely cover the stamp with ink if you like a bit more grungy look. And for the bottom section of stripes - try turning a sentiment stamp over onto the back side for a smooth, flat surface. After the cut out elements were mounted with pop dots, the whole piece was placed into 5x7" frame. Voila, instant artwork!

Supplies:
Colorbox Classic Pigment Ink Queues - Funky, Silks & Satins
Mix'd Media Inx - Denim, Pewter
Embossing Powder - Denim, Silver
Colorbox Premium Dye Ink - Kettle
Stamps - Viva Las Vegas (Plate 918)
