The Queties inks are great because they are just the right size and price. You can get a prematched set of inks for an affordable price. I love all the Queues because they are easy to store and you can easily see the colors.
Today I wanted to share another fun aspect of these ink sets - built in inspiration! The colors are right there in front of you providing an instant color palette.
For this card, I used the Hip Quetie that is shown above. I inked the large Hero Arts background stamp in the teal and darker blue. That is another great thing about the small size of all the cat eye inks. You can use them for detail work. I didn't mask this stamp, and you can see where the colors overlap just a little near the top of the card. I just took the Pool ink pad and inked all of the flower parts of the stamp, carefully avoiding the swirl parts. Any excess ink that I got on the swirl parts, I wiped off with my finger before applying the Indigo ink carefully to just the swirl parts. I thought this technique was much easier for a stamp like this than actually masking it.
Initially, I had planned to stamp the sentiment in the Cupid ink from the Quetie, but decided instead to use a designer foil and adhesive in a similar color. I felt that the foil gave just a little bit more pop! (I also didn't have a sentiment stamp that fit, and the Cheers banner adhesive was perfect.)
For the finishing touch, I trimmed the background stamped panel and matted it on matching cardstock. This whole card was inspired from just looking at that Quetie!
