Mixed Media Magic Week with Susan K. Weckesser - "House That Ink Built" by Jean Okimoto

We're so excited to be teaming up with our friend Susan K. Weckesser and her team this week. We first met Susan at a trade show a few years back -- her happy smile, whimsical art, and joy for life were so contagious, we connected with her from the get-go!

All week long, our team members will be creating using Clearsnap inks, sprays, and more + Susan's paper by Want2Scrap, stencils by Want2Scrap, and stamps by Unity. Stop by every day for new inspiration.... and now, a fabulous bright and happy project from our own, Jean Okimoto!

Hi - Jean Okimoto here - sharing a bright (really, really BRIGHT!) card today. I love the vibrant Tropical ColorBox Multi-Color Pigment Inkpad because it's perfect with Susan K. Weckesser's "the happy homestead" set from Unity Stamps.  It just makes you want to smile!

Spritz watercolor paper with water, ink a brayer with Tropical and spritz the brayer with water too.  Roll the inks onto the watercolor paper, clean the brayer and repeat the process.  Heat-set it.  Stamp "in.circle me" over it with Tropical and heat-set it.  Stamp the house with ColorBox Black Pigment Ink and emboss it with detail clear powder.  Color it with Mix'd Media Inx (Mossy, Peridot, Wisteria) and Mix'd Media Chox (Sage, Butternut, Peaches, Driftwood).  Stamp "family" with Black on Bazzill Basics Card Shoppe mustard cardstock, emboss it and cut it into little pieces. Attach everything to a 5"x7" card of turquoise Card Shoppe cardstock.  Attach silver mini-brads.
