The card features Mix'd Media Inx and Embossing Powder, Watermark Ink, Smooch Accent Ink and stamps from Hampton Art...
Did you know that you could paint with Mix'd Media Inx? Mix'd Media Inx blended with a little water were used to fill in the lovely lady, here's a closer look at her...
The image was first stamped using Watermark Ink, then embossed using Truffle Mix'd Media Embossing Powder. Embossing the image instead of just stamping it makes it easier to fill in the design. I also like how the soft look of the painted ink looks against the crisp, glossy embossing.
Watermark Ink was also used to stamp a subtle background pattern to fill in the empty areas of the stamped piece. Used by itself, Watermark Ink produces an image just a shade or two darker than the color it is stamped on...
To make the stamped mirror look reflective, it was filled in using Moonlight Smooch Accent Ink...
HINTS:
- If you have the Mix'd Media Inx Refill Bottles, you can just add a drop or two on a foam plate, then mix with a little water. if you have the Inx Pads, you can tap the color onto the plate then blend with water.
- Use a smooth heavy-weight cardstock like Bazzill's Card Shoppe line when using ink to paint. You'll end up with an even image without "scuffs" in the paper which can occur with a high rag content paper.
