Inky Layers Father's Day Card

Hello, hostess Tami here with a Father's Day card featuring stamps from Woodware and ColorBox Fluid Chalk Inks...



ColorBox Fluid Chalk Inks are nice and opaque, dry quickly and are a chalky matte when dry. When you stamp over previous stamped images with ColorBox Chalk Ink, you create shadow images that add interest to your design.

The card features foliage that was stamped and layered in several light colors to create a background for the card. Then the design was stamped again using a darker ink to create the focal image...



The stamped piece was layered on card, which has also been stamped to create an overall design. The sentiment was stamped in the darker ink to compliment the focal image...

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Cut a 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 piece of kraft cardstock and fold in half to make card.
  2. Ink single fern stamp with Alabaster Chalk Ink and stamp around all edges of card.
  3. Cut a 3 1/2 X 5 piece of blue paper, ink large foliage stamp with Creamy Brown Chalk Ink and stamp across bottom of card about 1/4" up from bottom.
  4. Ink single fern stamp with Yellow Citrus Chalk Ink and stamp randomly across card.
  5. Ink single fern stamp with Alabaster Chalk Ink and stamp randomly across card.
  6. Ink foliage stamp with Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink and stamp towards right edge of paper, along bottom edge.
  7. Distress edges of paper with Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink.
  8. Lay paper on card front, slightly toward right side. Mark where branch reaches edge of paper at left, mark in pencil.
  9. Ink tip of branch on foliage stamp, and stamp so that branch tip will appear to extend off blue paper.
  10. Ink sentiment stamp using Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink and stamp at upper left of blue paper.
  11. Adhere blue paper to card front.
