Hostess Tami here!
Today, December 26th, was my grandmother's birthday. Over the years, she came to accept that most of the time she would get "combined" gifts and cards - Christmas and Birthday. And if she did receive separate gifts, the birthday presents would usually arrive decked out in the same holiday wrappings as the Christmas gift.
So, in honor of Gram, I've designed a special winter birthday card...
I started with some of my grandmother's favorite colors; periwinkle and light blue. And then silver and white along with a little shimmer were added to compliment the color scheme. The periwinkle paper was "smooched" using Smooch Spritz in Vanilla Shimmer to add a little "snow".
I used a stamp from Memory Box that I had originally used for a fall card {re-purpose!}. But by embossing them in white using the NEW! Jasmine Mix'd Media Inx Embossing Powder, the effect is ALL winter. Watermark ink was used to create a "background" for my frosty stand of trees...
And for that touch of shimmer, I used Glue Gloss to fill in the trees using Fairy Dust Glitter in Mixed Berries...
The sentiment was stamped in Pigment Ink and embossed using Opalescent Clear Embossing Powder for another special touch on a silver embossed tag...

What a gorgeous card Tami! And an awesome tribute to your grandmother :) My brother's birthday is today and we always try to make it separate, though I must admit now that we are older and with the stress of Christmas, I have forgotten it a couple of times. Not this year though I am happy to say! Have a restful day!
