"Nest" Altered Gift Boxes with Denise Hahn

Guest Designer Denise Hahn shares a fabulous pair of altered gift boxes adorned with the most adorable robin's nest. Isn't she lovely?!

I love trying new products and experimenting, but lets face it, you don't always want to experiment with that important project you have waiting to be finished. So what I do is create my own paper design. I just go for it, and try everything!

From stamps to markers, to glitter and paint. I have ended up making some of my most beloved projects with paper using this technique. These little gift boxes are one of them. Part of being creative and sharing it, is giving those special handmade gifts.

I love to make jewelry for my friends and what could be more special then presenting in and a truly handmade box. After I made this on I was thinking of ways it could be mixed up, the nest could be white and more colorful pastels used, or how about totally changing it up where the nest becomes a Christmas wreath? I'm just sayin'!
