City Express

Hi, Jean Okimoto here, with an ink-collagey design featuring Clearsnap's fantastic pigment and chalk inks - and the reasons why they're used as they are.  Bold graphics and text from Savvy Stamps and the bright pop of the yellow felt "sun" using Memory Box's Fringe Circle Die send a quick note of appreciation here.
Stamp Countryside Bike with ColorBox Turquoise Pigment Ink - it's great for embossing with clear powder because of its extended open time.

Stamp Cityscapes twice with ColorBox Chalk Inks  - first with Charcoal, then with Gray Whale for a layered, dimensional look - without masking!  Ink the edges with Gray Whale.  To create a sidewalk, mask the area above the bottom edge with a strip of printer paper, then ink below it using a ColorBox Stylus, White Blending Tip and Gray Whale.  The embossed tires will resist the Gray Whale.

The greeting is stamped with Arctic Deep ColorBox Limited Edition Chalk Ink - it's  slightly darker than the bike's Turquoise so it wouldn't be too match-y.  Ink the edges with Arctic Deep, then layer it over Apricot Cardstock, like a little sign.

Diecut a yellow felt sun using Memory Box's Fringed Circle Die.  Brighten the left side of the card with a block of Apricot Cardstock.  Attach everything to a  5.5" square card of Bazzill Basics Artesian Pool,  using foam dots for the greeting.

  1. Great card. I love the fringe circle sun! I'm going to have to add that to my die collection.
