We interrupt this post to bring you the winner of our April Fool's Day Contest!!!
Upside down logos, wrong titles, wrong holidays too. Thanks for the chance to win!
Please email your mailing address to jennifer.priest@clearsnapinc.com to claim your Halloween themed prize (haha!). Thanks for playing along and congrats!!! Now, back to our regularly scheduled post from Jean, Clearsnap blogger extraordinaire!
Hi - Jean Okimoto here - with a card that could also be called "When and Why?" It's so easy to focus on the directions for my projects - without a reason for choosing a specific Clearsnap inkpad. It's also easy to put your heart stamps away after Valentine's Day - but they're great year-round!
Typewriter was stamped with ColorBox Black Pigment Ink and embossed with detail clear powder to resist the background image. Stamp Mail Definition Background over it with ColorBox Charcoal Chalk Ink for a detailed matte background. The edges were also inked with quick-drying Charcoal.
The trio of hearts (attached to the side of Love and Hearts) was stamped with ColorBox Razzberry Pigment Ink so it could be clear-embossed to a glossy finish. Attach it to a 2-3/4" x 4-1/2" piece of Raspberry Cardstock and sand the edges.
Stamping on glassine can be challenging - Pinkolicious ColorBox Archival Dye Ink dried with a just a quick, light zap of the heat-tool. The envelope was too big so I trimmed and re-folded it to hold small sections of the Mail Definitions Background - like a bundle of old loveletters tied with twine.
Diecut Heart Chain Border from Raspberry Cardstock, attach 1/8" Scor-Tape along the entire length, then scruff it up a bit with a sanding block. (Tape stabilizes it for scruffing and attaches it too!) Ink it lightly with Charcoal. Assemble the card. Attach black foam squares and press Charcoal Glitter onto the adhesive.
