Hi, Daniela Dobson here with a Happy birthday gift card holder. I make these all the time and since this month is all about parties it's perfect for any occasion.
The base dimensions are 4 3/4 x 7.5 ". Then, I scored the cardstock at 2" and 4 1/4". The 2" flap is the bottom and the other is the top.
I die cut the top flap with the largest die from Scallop Circles Framelits. I do this by positioning the die where I want it and securing it with tape. I run the sandwich through the Sizzix Big Shot only to the point where I want it cut. In this case, the the first fold. If you run the whole thing through the machine it will cut out a scalloped circle from the cardstock piece.
For the outside, I cut a smaller scallop circles with the same die set and a strip of white cardstock.
I stamped flowers and dots with ColorBox Pigment ink in Canary, Turquoise and Chestnut.
I punched the bottom edge and adhered stamped piece of cardstock. I secured my sides with a sewing machine. The stamped scalloped circle is adhered to the top flap.
To decorate the outside I tied seam binding around the gift card holder. This can easily slide on and off and it keeps the gift holder closed. I die cut a tag and stamped the sentiment with ColorBox Pigment ink in Chestnut.
I inked all the edges with ColorBox Fluid Chalk ink in Toffee and tied the tag to the ribbon with twine.
The sentiment on the tag can be changed to accommodate any occasion.
Thank you for stopping by today.
