Hi - Jean Okimoto here - with a "should have done this earlier" project. You know how easy it is to Rollagraph a quick pattern - and our Design Team's Tami Sanders shared a great masking tape Washi Tape project a few weeks ago. So, let's combine both ideas and Rollagraph our own custom "faux-Washi" tape - here are the details:
I've used the Jumbo Ink Cartridges, Design Wheels and Handles here, but the smaller size is great with masking tape too. Patterns shown clockwise are Alphabet A, Bloomers, Say What?, Mixed Dots and Shadow Leaves. Ancient Page Ink Cartridges pictured are Chocolate, Foxglove, Turquoise, Coal Black and Lime.
Snap the Ancient Page Ink Cartridge and Design Wheel into the Inking Handle, remove the cartridge lid, push the tab up and begin inking the wheel. Rotate the wheel until the seamline on the pattern is about 1/4" above the two knobs that secure the wheel. I attached my tapes to a cutting mat so I can trim the tapes directly on the mat after the ink has dried. Print your design on masking tape and allow the ink to dry thoroughly.
Cut the tapes into strips with an X-acto knife, then cut the tape - using the blade of a tape dispenser - to fit 3.5" square tags. Or just tear short strips if you're in a hurry!
Attach the tapes to the tags. Cut the felt and cardstock with the Memory Box
Pinwheel Posie, Vivienne Butterfly (patterned), Darla Butterfly (solid) and Tilth Floral Dies. The Tilth Floral petals are removed when it's diecut, I just re-attached them with a circle of Scor-Tape and added a 1/2" punched circle in the center. Attach
mini-brads and ribbons.
Here's a list of supplies used for the tags shown above:
