Molded Toiled Paper smooched card

For my 'hot' topic this month I chose a 'hot' color combo - teal, chartreuse and grey.

For this technique, I used some toilet paper, water, smooch and the crackle molding mat. 

To create these soft textured panels, I used two strips of thick multiply toilet paper. (if your toilet paper is thinner you might need more than two layers) I simply wet the toilet paper and carefully wrung out the excess water before laying it flat on the molding mat. I pressed it down carefully and through trial and error found that using a paper towel to push it down worked better than my hands. Lastly, I sprayed the top liberally with smooch spritz. I wanted to use the bottom layer that was against the mold, so I made sure to spray enough smooch spritz that the color would soak all the way through. However, I did find that the dried product could stand up to a little light misting if there are spots where the color didn't go all the way through.

After it was dry I peeled it up, trimmed the excess off and adhered it to my card front. It felt kind of like soft mulberry paper or some handmade papers. Glue worked alright to hold it down but I wanted to add the stitching for detail. I did find that it behaved more like fabric, stretching slightly as I sewed.

I used the smooch mist in silver foil, river mossy and limolicious. 

For the tag, I stamped with pigment ink and heat set before coloring the package in with smooch and after that was dry, topping it with a little smooch glitz on the dots for sparkle.
