Stamping with Smooch

Hello! Hostess Tami here!

This month our fabulous Creative Team is bringing you projects featuring Smooch Accent Inks. So I wanted to share MY favorite technique using Smooch with you.

Smooch Accent Inks work beautifully to fill in your stamped images, but did you know you could also use Smooch to stamp with? Well you CAN, Smooch Accent Inks ARE inks, so they can be used to create shimmery, pearly images. Best of all, you can blend colors on your stamps to add dimension and create multi-toned watercolor like stampings.

To stamp using Smooch, I first "prime" my stamp using Watermark Ink, Watermark Twinkle Ink or Top Boss Embossing Pad. This helps the ink "release" and not dry on the stamp while I'm inking and blending the Smooch Inks. Then, I dot on the Smooch, blend with my fingertip and stamp. To make my stamped design extra shimmery for this card, I used Pearl Watermark Twinkle Ink.

This is the card I made; the floral spray and sentiment were stamped using the technique...

Here is a short tutorial that shows you step-by-step how to make this card yourself...

And here are a few closeup shots that were taken outside; you can really see the shimmer and glimmer!
